This calculator applies three classical cancellations: Mars in its own sign (Aries, Scorpio) or exalted (Capricorn); Jupiter aspecting Mars; or Jupiter, Venus or a waxing Moon in the same house as Mars. Any one of them means the dosha forms but is cancelled.

Mangal Dosha is not a bar to marriage. In many charts it cancels itself, and in matching it is read alongside the eight kootas, never on its own. If a match is being considered, compare both charts in full.
